This motorized level 1 allows up to 8 students. The class wil focus specifically on how motorized users communicate and travel safely in and around avalanche terrain. The classroom portion will all be offered virtually and includes four prerecorded talks students can watch on their own time and one live two-hour Zoom session. The Zoom session will be held on the evening of Friday, Feruary 14th from 6-8:30 pm. The primary portion of the class consists of two full field days, which will be conducted on Buck Ridge near Big Sky. The field portions will include lots of riding as we assess avalanche terrain, snowpack stability, communication skills, and mountain weather. Avalanche rescue drills also play a significant role in the field sessions.
